Update: Installation or Activation

  • Download :  Ad-Aware Pro
  • Install it and Restart your PC.
  • When  Ad-Aware is started for the first time, the Manage License window will open automatically
  • Enter your Serial Number or Click ‘Register’ button at the bottom of the main status screen and enter your serial to activate the full-featured version of Ad-Aware Pro.

  10. Hi I just want to know the reason for which my computer hangs after installing this software since I have 40GB memory hardisk.Is it because of low memory.

    1. my frank suggestion, don’t install this software if your system already had an antivirus, also I read several comments that it is bloated software and troubling several low-end PC’s.

  11. I have been a big fan of Lavasoft and adaware for a long time. I have been using the free version and several giveaway-pro versions alternatly for years.

    This time, tough, I give up.

    Download and installation worked like a charm. Of course.

    But afterwards, everything just… stopped. It seems like the new version of ad-aware does not play well with my antivirus. Or the other way around.

    This leaves me with two options. Keep ad-aware, but not have it run at startup, just start it when I need it, or just uninstall and forget all about it.

    I chose to uninstall the whole thing. I do not need a “security”-software that I have to start manually (and after stopping my other security-software) in order to use it.

    Too bad. I have liked this program for years, but it seems to me some changes they have made this time did NOT improve the software.

    (Actual issues: When starting computer, ad-aware seemed to freeze the whole system in order to load, without being able to load at all. After a stop and restart of ad-aware (after several restarts of computer that did not help AND a reinstall of ad-aware) after the computer had started, the system seemed to “unfreeze” a little bit and for a little while. Then, when I started a new program (like Winamp), the whole thing froze again. My internet connection died, came back to life, died… My webbrowser froze, came back, froze again… I GAVE UP.)
