You step into the role of the Simulacrum — a being on a mission to reclaim the blood of gods from the nightmarish creatures that stole it. Your journey takes you through hand-drawn biomes beneath a scorched surface, into underground ruins of a long-dead civilisation, and eventually into dimensions that should probably not exist.

Why Voidwrought Stands Out

Players who’ve finished it describe the movement as genuinely satisfying and the music as a proper highlight. The consensus is pretty clear: Voidwrought doesn’t unseat Hollow Knight as the genre’s gold standard, but as a free pickup? It absolutely punches above its weight class.
