Generally for smooth browsing I use chrome, but when I want to use a proxy I prefer Firefox because Google Chrome lacks a user interface (UI) to enable or disable proxy server settings.
Indeed, Google Chrome uses Internet Properties settings for setting a proxy, in short it uses same proxy server settings of Internet explorer.Although technically it is using Windows settings, but Chrome doesn’t provides a way to set proxy settings internal to the browser.
This issue can be fixed by small and powerful extension called Proxy Switchy, which not only provides a user interface to set proxy internally in chrome, but also allows you to switch between multiple proxies quickly and easily.
Proxy Switchy! is a proxy manager for Google Chrome, it allows users to manage and switch between multiple proxy profiles quickly and easily.
All you need to do is Install Proxy Switch, it will add a Globe like icon near to your Chrome address bar, just click that icon then click on ‘options'(wheel icon) and set your proxy.
